  7. 7 Ways to Graft a Remedy (Article...

Updated – The Health & Wellness team believes that a time is rapidly approaching when you may no longer be able to buy homeopathic remedies. Thus it is important to know how to multiply (graft) the ones that you already have. The video and document download below tells you how.

Seven Ways to Graft a Remedy (Updated)

1)  From Blank Pellets to Medicated Pellets:

  • Fill a 2-dram vial ¾ full of blank pellets.
  • Add professionally manufactured pellets (at least 30th potency) to the vial… 4 #40-size pellets or 15 #10-size pellets.
  • Add 3-4 drops of 95% alcohol (190-proof) to the vial; cap, then shake for a couple minutes.

2)  From Previously Grafted Pellets to More Grafted/Medicated Pellets:

  • Start with a 2-dram vial ¼ full of pellets remaining from a previous graft.
  • Add 2-4 drops of 95% alcohol (190-proof) to the vial; cap, then shake for 15-20 seconds.
  • Add blank pellets to the vial until the vial is ¾ full; cap, then shake for a couple minutes.

3)  From Medicated Pellets to a Liquid Dilution:

  • Put 7 #40-size or 25 #10-size pellets of a remedy into an empty dropper bottle.
  • Fill bottle with 40% vodka (80-proof) to within ¼ inch of the top.
  • Once pellets have completely dissolved, shake.
  • For example: Cuprum Metallicum 6C

4)  From Liquid Dilution to Liquid Dilution:

  • When a liquid dilution bottle is close to empty (¼ left), refill with 40% vodka and shake.
  • For example: Hamamelis 200C + Arnica 3C liquid.

5)  From Medicated Pellets to Medicating Potency:

  • Dissolve 5-20 pellets (depending on size), add just enough 40% vodka to cover pellets, and let dissolve completely.
  • Fill bottle with 95% alcohol to within ¼ inch of top, and shake.
  • For example: Arnica 3C pellets into a liquid that is at least 87.5% alcohol.

6)  From Liquid Dilution to Medicating Potency:

  1. Add one dropper full of a liquid dilution to a new dropper bottle.
  2. Add 95% alcohol to within ¼ inch of the top, and shake.
  3. For example: Lycopodium 30C in 20% alcohol purchased from OHM, made into a liquid that is at least 87.5% alcohol.

7)  From Medicating Potency to Medicated Pellets:

  • Fill a 2-dram vial ¾ full of blank pellets.
  • Add 3-4 drops medicating potency to the vial; cap, then shake for a couple minutes.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Pellets under the 30th Potency cannot be used for grafting blank pellets, but liquid dilutions can be made from any potency of pellet or liquid.
  • Note: Medicated pellets are pellets that have already been made into a remedy. On the other hand, a medicating potency is a liquid dilution which is at least 87.5% alcohol and thus can be used for grafting blank pellets.
  • Dropper bottles may be any size: 1/2 ounce, 1 ounce, 2 ounces, or even 4 ounces. However, the best bottles for making liquid dilutions and medicating potencies are the 1/2 ounce bottles. They are the least expensive (a case of 24, Vivaplex brand, is available on Amazon for around $12), and each bottle will hold enough remedy to last a family several weeks or months.

TY! What size are Boiron pellets? Can you re-use Boiron tubes for grafting the same remedy, or is glass preferred?

    • Mick

Littlelight, the Boiron pellets, as far as I can reckon, are size #40. It is better to get glass vials for grafting, although you can reuse the Boiron tubes for storing grafted remedies. So, for instance, you could graft some Arnica 30, transfer it into your Boiron tube for use, and immediately graft some more in your glass vial. That way, when your Boiron tube is suddenly empty one day, you already have some that you can use to refill your tube. 🙂

A hearty TY! Outstanding work, Mick.

I have started the process of getting a kit (you can use HSA on Amazon) and the rec. books and feel new life as I am learning. I guessed #40 from what I’ve seen. TY again.

Hi Mick, when medicated pellets have been “grafted” to blank pellets per your instructions — the medication is now in liquid form. How or what is the measure of let’s say 4 Hypericum pellets, which is now in liquid form.

Where does one buy vials and droppers for this process.

p.s. Hypericum and Rhus Tox are amazing remedies for my nerve pain.

p.s.s. I need to find out how to join in your health and wellness calls etc.

Do you mean that you’d like to join the Gateway to Homeopathy class, or that you’d like to sit in on one of our national Health and Wellness team meetings?

oops sorry. I found the info on your site here! Just have to familiarize myself. Still have question of dose…..4 small pellets equal how much liquid. Also, do blank pellets become medicated when liquid is absorbed? I know stupid question….but???/

    • Mick

Sansan, there are no stupid questions… only unasked ones. 🙂

When medicated pellets are grafted onto blank pellets, you end up with more medicated pellets. However, medicated pellets can be grafted into a liquid dilution; and a liquid dilution can be grafted into a liquid dilution. A type of liquid dilution called a medicating potency can be used to graft blank pellets into medicated pellets. Does that make sense, or did I just thoroughly confuse you? 🙂

Anyhow, when you graft your own pellets, the dose is 4 pellets. When you graft your own liquid dilution, the dose is 3 – 5 drops in a spoonful of water.

Blank pellets become medicated when the medicated pellets, blank pellets, and alcohol get all mixed up (thus the couple of minutes of shaking), such that the alcohol “picks up” the energetic/physical (that is, related to physics) “footprint” of the remedy and transfers it to the blank pellets. This energetic/physical footprint will be deposited on the surface of the blank pellets and remain there after the alcohol evaporates. So the pellets don’t absorb the remedy’s footprint or the alcohol; they are coated with it. Make sense? If not, let me know and I’ll try again.

hi Mick, thank you for info.

I’m getting a handle on homeopathic remedies and dose. I stopped taking hypericum and rhus tox after 5 days of 2x a day and am waiting to see if nerve pain comes back. So far, doing pretty good.

hope you can see this message, I’ve been having trouble posting

    • MP

You’re posting fine, SanSan. All comments go into moderation just like on the ASOH site, so there may be a delay.

    • Mick

Hi, Sansan. Yep, I’ve seen all of your messages. Thanks be to God that your nerve pain is better! Let me know how it goes. 🙂

    Mick,

Can you graft with the tiny Washington Homeopathy pellets or do you run the risk that they will start to dissolve?

When I buy the vials on Amazon, I see that they come in clear and amber glass. Is one preferred over the other? I noticed that the remedies I’ve purchased from Washington come in amber glass vials.

I’m just getting into homeopathy and the information on Corac has been fabulous!
