Scott J. Maczuga is a follower of Christ and a Master Martial Artist who has been a pioneer in private Christian education, and martial arts after school, summer camp, and evening programs for over 3 decades. Mr. Maczuga serves as the President and CEO of the Vortex Academy Franchise. This includes Vortex Academy, Vortex Martial Arts, and Warriors Christian Academy by Vortex. He also serves the global educational business community at large as a business coach and consultant, specializing as one on the top leading experts in the field of champion child development.

As a former state and national martial arts champion, Mr. Maczuga has competed all over the country. Many of his students have won state, regional, and national championships in dance and martial arts, including the Junior Olympics. Mr. Maczuga has taught corporate personal safety programs for fortune 500 companies, has trained and managed security teams at in high profile businesses, and has performed as a personal bodyguard for wealthy and high profile individuals.

Having traveled, trained, and taught all over the world, Mr. Maczuga has earned black belt certifications in many Martial Arts – Israeli Krav Maga (1st Degree), Koei-Kan Karate (2nd degree), Shotokan Karate (2nd degree), Ashihara Karate (2nd degree), and Martial Arts World / Tae Kwon Do / Hapkido (6th degree). He holds instructor certifications in Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) and Filipino Kali while cross training in others like Greco-roman Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Juitsu, and Russian Sambo . Maczuga currently holds a 7th degree black belt through the American Black Belt Association. In addition, he is an expert in child development, success life skills training, and personal growth, speaking internationally on these topics at industry events around the world.

In addition to working toward his Bachelors degree in Theology at Liberty University, he is also in the process of becoming a licensed Minister. Although Maczuga’s extensive martial arts background has been a passion, his vocation is to lead others to Christ is his life’s mission. Maczuga continues to lead the Vortex Academy Franchise to spiritual mental, physical, and financial success daily.
