  5. Novena to Our Lady of Fatima

Charlie and other CORAC members began a 9-day Novena to Our Lady of Fatima on the occasion of gathering in Butler, PA for the Trump Rally. Below is the 9-day Novena commenced on the first Saturday of October. (Note: There is a shrine to Our Lady of Fatima across the street from the rally grounds.)

First Day

Let this be the beginning of the time of fulfillment – and give us the grace to cooperate with God in bringing about the renewal of the face and faith of the earth. Let it begin.

Day 1 Prayer:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, you came to Fatima to reveal the graces that come from praying the Holy Rosary to three little shepherd children. Inspire us with a sincere love of this devotion so that, like the shepherd children, it is not a burdensome task but a life-giving prayer. May our prayers and meditations on the mysteries of our redemption bring us closer to your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Like the children of Fatima, we want to bring God’s word to others. Give us the strength, O Lord, to overcome our doubts so that we may be messengers of the Gospel. We know that Jesus lives in our hearts and we receive Him in the Eucharist.

Lord Jesus, the miracles, prophecies and prayers that Your Mother brought to us at Fatima amazed the whole world. We are certain of her closeness to You. We ask through the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima that you graciously hear and answer our prayers.

Especially… (Mention your intentions here…)

Our Lady of Fatima, Pray for us!

Our Lady of the Rosary, Pray for us!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pray for us!

“From famine and war, deliver us.”

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Second Day

Let us know that fulfillment begins with prayer, continues through much work and many trials, ending in The Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. Let us apply ourselves to the work before us with fortitude and resolve.

Prayer for the Second Day:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

May our prayers and meditations on the mysteries of our redemption bring us closer to your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Lady of Fatima, we pray that we may be like you and follow your example. We pray for all those who face oppression, that they will find peace. We pray and give thanks for all the blessings we enjoy.

Lord Jesus, the miracles, prophecies and prayers that Your Mother brought to us at Fatima amazed the whole world. We are certain of her closeness to You. We ask through the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima that you graciously hear and answer our prayers.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pray for us!

“From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction, from every kind of war, deliver us.”

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Third Day

“It is ours to fight the battle – and God’s to grant the victory.” -St. Joan of Arc responding to those who asked her why God needed her at all if He wanted to save France. Today is the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Rosary – celebrating the Christian’s miraculous victory over the Muslims at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. Let us remember that God will not do our work for us, but will grant the victory when we apply ourselves with faith and vigor.

Third Day Prayer:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

May our prayers and meditations on the mysteries of our redemption bring us closer to your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Lady of Fatima, Today, we pray for an end to the suffering and injustice that plague so many parts of the world. Through the power of the Lord, you performed a miracle at Fatima and made the sun dance for thousands of people to see. Please intercede for those who are suffering.

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Fourth Day

“He who endures to the end shall be saved” – Matthew 23:13
We don’t prove our trust when skies are sunny and sailing is clear. We prove our trust when the sky is dark, the storm is raging, and the ship is tossed by the waves. Let us not be sunshine sailors, but press on with fortitude in the greatest trial known the Lord is the Master of the Storm.

Prayer for Day Four

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pray for us!

“From hatred and from the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God, deliver us.”

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Fifth Day

“Many go to hell because they have no one to pray for them” – Our Lady of Fatima at the September apparition.

We cannot beguile loved ones who are estranged from the faith to come back. But we can pray for them and trust God to give them the outpouring of grace Our Lady promised at Fatima – in His good time, not ours.

Prayer for Day Five:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

May our prayers and meditations on the mysteries of our redemption bring us closer to your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Lady of Fatima, may we offer everything we do today to our Lord. As we make this offering, we think of people who are affected by our actions each day. We ask God to help us be motivated by love and compassion.

Sixth Day

“Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them” – Matthew 18:20

While in this world, Christ and His angels and saints are usually invisible to us. So we quail with fear at challenges, fearing that we are alone, knowing that it is too much for us. We need only crown Christ in our hearts and then live as knowing that we are never alone.

Prayer for Day Six:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, you came to Fatima to reveal to three little shepherd children the graces that come from praying the Holy Rosary. May our prayers and meditations on the mysteries of our redemption bring us closer to your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Lady of Fatima, sometimes we live in fear and we are too afraid to let go of our anxieties. We want to be God’s instruments to achieve His will and to bring Him glory. Today we ask through your intercession, that Jesus help us to trust in Him like the children at Fatima.

Seventh Day

“Be still and know that I am God” – Psalm 46:10

We struggle with so many things that we have no control over, while neglecting what we do. Take care of what you can, entrust the rest to God, and go forth with serene calm, knowing that He is God.

Prayer for Day Seven:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Our Lady of Fatima, show us how to pray always. Teach us how to speak to God as a friend. Help us to make time for silence in our hectic days so that we may listen to what God has to tell us. Throughout the business of our days, help us remember God and have our hearts centered on Him.
Lord Jesus, the miracles, prophecies and prayers that Your Mother brought to us at Fatima amazed the whole world. We are certain of her closeness to You. We ask through the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima that you graciously hear and answer our prayers.
