Waukegan, Illinois – On December 23, 2020, I wrote here that I thought the Covid Shots were likely to become the greatest medical disaster in modern history. My essay, “Embers in the Wind” is a fascinating read nearly five years later. In the first two paragraphs I vastly underestimated people’s tolerance for massive dysfunction, so I was way off base in how quickly and thoroughly I expected backlash to come. But my dissection of the sudden collapse of confidence in almost every institution undergirding modern life was downright prescient. As almost always, I got some of the timing wrong while getting almost all the substance right. Perhaps the key takeaway paragraph from the whole thing was, “When you politicize everything, everything becomes political and there are no longer any experts, only credentialed folks who are willing to prostitute their expertise to support a political narrative. Their time is almost over. Respect for “experts” with loads of credentials but no demonstrable expertise is in full-scale collapse.”
For all the sustained mewling of leftist politicians, commenters, and churchmen about what happened, if they really want to know, they need only read my piece from five years ago about what the result would be if they continued on their then triumphant course. It is, as many have observed, not their messaging, but their message. And their only answer is to double down, to scream louder, more violently, and with white-hot rage. Not much of a strategy for restoring all the confidence they have squandered by their angry incompetence and hubris. It is not going to get better for them.
Irrepressibly, word is shooting up on just how bad and dangerous the Covid shots are – even in the establishment press, which has fought desperately to hold this beachball of truth beneath the waves. Not working anymore.
The best summary of the current status comes from Jeff Childers’ marvelous blog, Coffee and Covid. (If you have never read it, you really should. It is a vital part of my ‘daily briefing.’) I am going to quote an extended excerpt from his column of last Saturday, May 3:
Four days ago, the most important covid shot study yet was published as a preprint on MedRxIV. It was blandly titled, “Twelve-Month All-Cause Mortality after Initial COVID-19 Vaccination with Pfizer-BioNTech or mRNA-1273 among Adults Living in Florida.” In a science-following world, this study would announce the beginning of the end, the great unraveling of the big “safe and effective” lie.
If there’s one thing —just one thing— a “safe and effective” vaccine absolutely shouldn’t do, it’s increase your odds of dropping dead. Death is not a side effect; that’s the reverse-opposite of vaccination. It’s like a parachute that “works great” until you pull the ripcord. Aieeeeeeee.
This week’s study was organized by co-author and Florida Surgeon General Joe Ladapo, a Harvard-trained M.D. and PhD. Impeccably credentialed MIT professor of statistics Retsef Levi also joined. They brilliantly scraped Florida’s Medicare database and compared the two jabs against each other, specifically, their risks of dying from any cause —“all-cause mortality”— and they found a statistically undeniable +40% risk of fatality following the Pfizer jab over Moderna.
In other words, hundreds of thousands more Floridians died in the 12 months following the Pfizer jab than Moderna, when there should have been no difference at all. Specifically, they found that +230 more people died after Pfizer for every 100,000 jabbed. Not only that, but Pfizer getters died from cardiovascular causes at a rate of +83 more often per 100,000.
The researchers were super careful to avoid leaving room for criticism. They started with known vaccinees, then excluded nursing home residents, the homeless, and people who died from violent causes (homicides and suicides). Then they took out people who got their shots more than six weeks apart (i.e., not as recommended), people who mixed shot types, people who got more than 2 shots, and people whose health records were incomplete (such as unknown gender). Finally, they separated people who died from covid.
Those left over included more than 9 million Floridians. I.e., it was a big sample. Then they matched recipients 1-to-1 based on their location (census tract), avoiding any potential regional differences.
It wasn’t even close.
The authors ultimately concluded that, “Florida adults who received the BNT162b2 COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer) in the initial series appear to have significantly higher risk of 12-month all-cause, cardiovascular, COVID-19, and non-COVID-19 mortality compared to mRNA-1273 recipients (Moderna).”
Pfizer’s Grim Reaper came most often for seasoned citizens. “When stratifying by age group,” the researchers wrote, “the increase in mortality risk was highest in adults 60 years and older.”
The genius of Ladapo’s study was to compare the two shots against each other. The data for those who were unvaccinated is completely unreliable, since doctors recorded anyone with “unknown” jab status as unvaccinated. But the state has very good data about who actually got the shots and then died, since hospitals and pharmacies were required to report detailed data for Medicare reimbursement, both for the original shots and then for the patients’ end-of-life care.
Simply put, comparing shots like-for-like surfaced a wide variety of deadly effects, at least for Pfizer. Though the study didn’t directly study the other shot, it remains reasonable to assume Moderna also increased death risk compared to non-vaccination, since the shots are so similar.
And as bad as these results are, the truth is probably much worse. It only tracked deaths in the 12 months following the second shot, so we don’t know how high the totals are now. And it excluded people who took three, four, or more shots. It’s fair to assume that more shots don’t decrease people’s risk of death.
In other words, when it comes to mortality risk, this study’s results likely represent a floor, not a ceiling.
Death is binary. It’s not a PCR cycle. Folks either died or they didn’t. All-cause mortality is immune to narrative manipulation. You might well ask, why hasn’t the FDA already required long-term all-cause mortality studies for these products? The data is readily available. Post-marketing all-cause mortality studies are not common, but the speed at which the covid jabs were developed at warp speed and government mandates to take them aren’t common either.
If the Levi–Ladapo study is right, it implies catastrophic failure by the FDA for not requiring long-term safety data, the CDC for continuing to push boosters with no mortality data, the NIH for funding everything except what might challenge the narrative, and Big Pharma for withholding or obscuring adverse event data.
I couldn’t find a single corporate media mention about this study. The silence was deafening. As you know, media loves running headlines about weird studies linking things like “too much joy” to heart attacks and strokes. But this? Crickets. If Levi-Ladapo’s results showed that both shots had reduced 12-month mortality, that result would’ve been plastered across headlines within 24 hours and chirped three times on NPR before breakfast.
As I keep saying —and will keep saying— the steady drip of vaccine safety studies is pooling into a vast and rising lake of condemnation. At some point, that lake will be too deep for the guilty to wade across. They can tiptoe around the puddles now, but the water’s quickly coming up— and the truth will eventually drown them.
Shamelessly, the same “experts” and media which sold you this deadly ‘pig in a poke’ are still vainly insisting that if you do not believe whatever they tell you to believe, you are an idiot rube and a bumpkin. The truth is that all the rubes and bumpkins are the ones who still believe the idiot “experts” and media who care nothing about science, evidence, facts and truth – but only want to prop up their dead narratives. When anyone cockily tells me what MSNBC, CNN, or an expert told them, I hear them saying, “Aren’t the emperor’s new clothes marvelously stylish?”
But I do not write this to gloat over the truth that I told you way back at the beginning of this disaster. Many people, including many of my dearest friends, got at least one dose of the Covid shots. More than a few have told me that it troubled them because, as long as they have known me, almost every time I decisively and loudly contradict conventional wisdom, I turn out to be right. But they were trusting people and institutions that we used to be able to trust. They did nothing wrong. The institutions we used to be able to trust did. And now we can’t trust them – no matter how loud and condescending the creeps who have taken over those institutions are. Turns out that when you politicize everything, pushing a narrative that you’re smarter and nobler than everyone else at the expense of basic truth, nothing you say carries any weight any longer. Even the dullest folks are figuring out the media and “experts” cannot be trusted in today’s world. Soon enough, even the creeps running the big cons will figure out that the jig is up for them.
No, as bad as things are being revealed to be, as much as you have been “authoritatively” lied to (Is it a lie when the people pushing it are too stupid to be able to even recognize the difference between facts and their own narrative?), I write to remind you of God’s promise from Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Maliciously stupid people seek to dominate and ridicule their fellows though they, themselves, lack wisdom or discernment. Because He will not interfere with our free will, God does not stop us from being deceived by the empty show of the self-proclaimed “experts” for a time. But He arranges it so we may see the hollow cupidity at the core of the self-proclaimed experts’ claims – and return to Him and common sense. This episode in our history has been for our chastisement, refinement and purification; not our destruction.
Over three years ago I wrote this piece about the Brazen Serpent Prayer I had written. It was based on Moses and the Israelites extended sojourn in the desert. When many people got too big for their britches and decided they knew better than God, the Lord sent deadly vipers to afflict them. But God did not long for their destruction; rather, their reclamation. So, He had Moses mount a brazen serpent upon a pole. All who turned back to God in humility, were healed when they gazed upon it. I encourage you to read the article in the link, particularly if you are worried about consequences from the shot or from this man-made virus. At the time I published the piece, we did not yet have prayer cards for the prayer. Working with the Full of Grace Supply House, we did develop a prayer card for it. Full of Grace also produced a pamphlet for a Brazen Serpent Rosary in conjunction with Sr. Marie Ursula, head of CORAC’s Prayer Teams (or as we affectionately call her, Sr. Bear). CORAC makes no money from the sale of these items – there is no kickback. As even the establishment press and corrupted doctors are being forced to admit how deadly and dangerous these shots are, remember that God does NOT want your destruction. He wants your reclamation. The decision is yours – as a friend once strikingly told me, “Choose or perish.”

One of the greatest theologians of the last two centuries, Sheen also had the common touch and spoke in a way that hit home with tens of millions in America and across the world. In the middle of the last century, Sheen had the top-rated radio show in the country. NOT the top-rated religious radio show: the top-rated radio show, period. Oh, and as I finish this piece, it is Sheen’s 130th birthday. (DOGE assures me that his remains are NOT still collecting Social Security.)

I am sorry that my writings here have been coming more slowly than they used to. Frankly, I am doing more than I ever have. I am hosting a couple of radio interview shows each month, Crosstalk, and doing a weekly radio commentary, From the Whirlwind, in a joint project between CORAC and WSFI Radio, the EWTN affiliate in Chicago. Also, Dr. Joe Brickner and I are taping two episodes of Corac’s Angels, each month, introducing you to CORAC leaders and members leading in their communities. I’m also doing quieter work to make America reliably politically conservative again, focusing on getting rid of red state RINO’s, defunding Planned Parenthood from the federal budget, finishing the manual, preparing for CORAC’s National Conference this summer in Atchison, Kansas, and generally trying to prepare the way for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the opening of the great Era of Peace.
I have complained to the Lord that I am nearly 70, a time when a man should be slowing down, not speeding up. But I am convinced that this is the pivotal year in our great battle to renew the faith and face of the world. So I guess I will have time to rest when we reach the Era of Peace or when I pass from this world. Meantime, I am trying to establish a rhythm in the midst of all this extra activity to publish once every two or three days instead of once a week, as I have been. Pray for me as I pray for you.
