I have Covid. Very similar to the nasty variant that nearly killed me four years ago. Not to worry, I am on day six of what took three months four years ago – and am beginning the mop-up stage of decisively banishing it. The thing that made me always think that Covid was a man-made virus was the peculiarly different symptoms that different people developed, wrapped around a core of foundational ones.

Last Wednesday, I was hit with a sudden onset of uncontrollable shivering and off the charts fever. Even while feeling the heat baking off me, I could not get warm. I wrapped a blanket around my whole body, including my head, except for my breathing hole, until I got the shakes and shivering under control. On Thursday, I was hit all day with vertigo. I stumbled around, knocking a few things (including a chair) over and spent altogether too much time grabbing onto walls for support. I mainly surrendered to bed most of the day to reduce the damage to myself and other things. The ONLY other time I ever had vertigo was the opening act of my horrific ordeal with Covid four years ago.

On Friday, the vertigo was gone, and so began the “sweat lodge” phase of the disease. Ugh. On Saturday, the sweats were over and, at first, I just had to deal with the fatigue issues. By Saturday afternoon, the worst and most painful stage came – the great need but inability to urinate phase. That’s the one that sent me into a near panic last time…but the silver lining is that it is also the last phase for me. Or so I expect. One stage that was missed was the laryngitis stage. The only time in my life I ever got that so I couldn’t talk at all was with my first, terrible bout with Covid. It tried to show up this morning, but it kicked like a little girl. All it managed to do was make my voice a little husky.

As I said, I am on day six (as I wrote this segment…I finished this article at Day 10). At this trajectory, I will be entirely symptom free within a couple weeks – and will only have to deal with intense fatigue and weakness for most of the rest of the course. I managed it entirely myself, using 48 mg of Ivermectin a day, an antihistamine, and Tylenol. That’s it. Frankly, my body has kicked one of the most vicious variants of Covid’s behind at every step. Now, if I had gone the way the “experts” insist upon, I would be tens of thousand of dollars in debt and getting sicker by the minute.

I don’t like being sick, but the more I thought about it as I successfully managed this rout of the “dread” disease, the angrier I got. During the great Covid scare, the government and medical establishment paid great bounties to hospitals and doctors for dutifully following their protocols, regardless of the outcome. The important thing to the left’s powerbrokers was that it be handled their way, not to pay for good results. In fact, those same “expert” authorities suppressed what actually did work and persecuted those who tried to promote them. Doctors were turned in to medical boards, some lost their licenses, many were fired, and people were given expensive therapies that often killed, rather than cured them. And our idiot (or evil) government paid bounties to those who did the dirty work. Our medical establishment, under the lash of their federal overlords, undoubtedly killed hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, with their mandated malpractice – and delivered it all with sneering (though ignorant) condescension.

Ivermectin kills Covid. Period. Those few nations that depended on an Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine regimen had Covid transmission rates that were, basically, flat lines. And our “expert” authorities sneered that Ivermectin was just “horse de-wormer.” That’s akin to saying that penicillin is just “mold.” What an evil, twisted technique! To take a partial truth and use it to sneeringly deny the fullness of the truth. That is right out of the satan’s playbook.

The reason I got it so bad last time was that I went two weeks without treating it at all. I had entered into what my long-time doctor (a noted midwestern practitioner who built a big family practice, but started as a research doctor, and was a frequent guest lecturer at campuses around the Midwest) called Stage 2 Covid, where the virus has burrowed deep inside your internal organs and grinds away, doing real damage to them. If not stopped early, Covid is like a street gang unleashed inside your body (or an Antifa mob) that just starts burning away at everything it encounters. The Covid Jab is like a stronger street gang that comes in, and first, kills the original street gang, then starts working more slowly, but much more relentlessly against your internal organs and immune system. That is why we have had such a spike in myocarditis, turbo cancers, strokes and heart failure in young people, and all-cause deaths since the introduction of the jab. Those who got multiple jabs and have not developed such showy conditions should not be too proud: those spike proteins are quietly whittling away at your immune system. No need to wonder why you get sick more frequently or exhausted more quickly. This is what centralized medicine by national decree of “experts” has wrought. Hundreds of thousand have died by forced medical malpractice. Still proud of Obamacare, which made our hospital the primary support system for the culture of death? And many of our doctors into the equivalent of Stepford Doctors?

I am terribly angry at the “experts” who forced this on us – and I want every one who pushed it to be defrocked and sent to prison. But I am glad that, with a little Tylenol, antihistamine, and Ivermectin I am able to tame over a week and a half this scourge that the most credentialed minds forced on us for so long.

The next time we have a scare, I pray the government will pay bounties based on who gets results instead of who bends the knee. What you reward you get more of and what you punish you get less of. Our government has been rewarding incompetence for WAY too long and punishing effective productivity. It is long past time to base expertise on results rather than supposed gold-leaf credentials.

Oh, by the way, I am required by law to tell you I am not a doctor and so, am not certified to give you medical advice. I just know what I’m talking about – and have since this all started. If you prefer to follow the advice of government cranks with medical degrees, have at it. Good luck with that.

I have heard more than a few people suggest that the spat between Elon Musk and Donald Trump is more kabuki theatre than reality. I don’t know…but it did motivate a bunch of Democrats to demand the release of the Epstein files. So there may have been a little 5D Chess going on. But it is also perfectly reasonable to think that Musk, who is a genius at business finance, does not really understand the Byzantine ways of government finance and scoring.

The big, beautiful bill (the BBBill from here on) is not the launch of the DOGE efforts. It has nothing to do with it. At best, it is the launch pad. It only deals with mandatory spending. That they slashed a trillion and a half in fraud, waste, and redundancy in the mandatory category is astounding to me. The way the media, Dems and others pretend this bill increases spending is by pretending that stopping a massive pending tax increase is actually government spending. There are several other smoke and mirrors gimmicks being used to misrepresent this bill that I won’t go into now, but if you didn’t count not increasing taxes as government spending, even Democrats and the media have to acknowledge this bill cuts about a trillion and a half.

I know, some folks are on a hair trigger looking for betrayal, like nervous pioneers who saw two Indians behind every tree. This bill needs to be passed to change the trajectory of spending priorities. Then come the recission bills. That is where the DOGE cuts are lodged. If you see Republicans voting against the recission bills, that will be actual betrayal. Meantime, I no longer have any regard for what Rand Paul, Mike Lee and Thomas Massie have to say about economics: they had an opportunity to move things forward here and chose to help Democrats by misrepresenting the purpose and effect of this bill – and used the theoretically perfect to demand that nothing be done at all. There will be time enough for recriminations later.

Well, the people who sport the “Coexist” stickers are burning stuff up again and attacking law enforcement. I told you last year to expect more, not less, violence this year. The left went all in to form an authoritarian nightmare during the Biden years. They revealed who they are and what they will actually do when given power. Now, they are desperate. They must find some way to make the gaslighting work again or they are going to be banished, perhaps to gulags of their own making. So they fight. Ever more impotently, destroying the remaining tatters of their credibility in the process. They will not go quietly into the darkness – but they will go. The power of darkness is broken.

Your last point regarding the recent (and expected)increase in violence brought to mind an excerpt from C.S. Lewis’ ‘That Hideous Strength’ that I thought to share.
The protaganist solemnly encourages his charges as they prepare to engage the enemy and evil:

“In fighting those who serve devils one always has this on one’s side;their Masters hate them as much as they hate us. The moment we disable the human pawns enough to make them useless to Hell, their own Masters finish the job for us. They break their tools.”

    – C.S. Lewis
