God dwells in our midst, in the Holy Sacrament of the altar.

The big National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis last month lit a fire in a lot of people, especially the young adults who were there. Now it is up to us to bring a spirit of revival to every parish and diocese. With everything happening in our world, and everyone searching for that one thing or person that will solve all our terrible problems, the answer has always been right in front of us. It is Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist. Evangelizing is maybe the best thing we can be doing right now.

Opinions expressed in this newsletter, unless otherwise attributed, are my own.

The More You Know

It is one of life’s idiosyncrasies that the more you know, the less you believe. Paradoxically, the less you believe, the less you know.

It has its up side. A young child is very gullible – and can be made to believe almost anything. It would not be good or fruitful to remain in such a state. As children learn that many things are not the way they once believed, such as Santa Clause not being quite the fellow portrayed in popular culture, a certain skepticism takes hold. That can be very healthy if it triggers real inquiry and rigorous standards. But it can easily degenerate into a reflexive cynicism that doesn’t believe anything. The easiest people to manipulate are those whose vanity exceeds their wit and those who don’t believe anything. The former can be persuaded to believe anything so long as it is packaged as their idea, accompanied with the sparkly wrapping paper of gross flattery. The latter can be convinced of anything provided it hints at dark secret knowledge and smears people who are telling the truth.

What if the attainment of objective knowledge was used to refine belief rather than to abandon it? Actually, it once was this way. Contrary to modern myth, the scientific method was originally adopted as a means of understanding God’s handiwork. Sir Francis Bacon, an Anglican, was Chancellor of England under King James I – and the primary developer of the scientific method. He adopted it as a means of “glorifying God and illuminating Scripture.” George LeMaitre, a Catholic Priest, came up with the Big Bang Theory. Gregor Mendel, a Catholic monk, discovered the fundamental principles of heredity and is recognized as the father of modern genetics. Danish Catholic Bishop Nicolas Steno made critical contributions to geology, famously proving that fossils and crystals formed and hardened before the rock surrounding them did.

In fact, until the mid-1800s. almost all scientists were driven by their faith to illustrate the handiwork of God and discover its rules through science. The war between science and God that we think has always existed only began with the rise of materialist philosophy, which is a grift and a fraud.

Materialist philosophy excludes, by definition, anything that cannot be explained through material means as “unscientific.” When you exclude the miraculous from the start and refuse to take note of, much less examine, it, it is easy pretend it does not exist. What started with men establishing rules of evidence to illuminate God’s natural handiwork degenerated into the exclusion of anything those rules could not explain – which most definitively was not what scientific founders intended.

This has given rise to a host of myths in modern society. For example, did you know that Darwinian evolution was decisively discredited by the first half of the last century? Everything Darwin said the fossil record would show proved wrong. What is pushed now is neo-Darwinian evolution, a movement that largely began in the 1960’s based on the idea that Darwin was fundamentally right, just wrong on the details of how it happened. After 60 years of trying, the neo-Darwinians have discovered some things that help explain adaptation and genetics, but nothing that upholds the theory of evolution.

I remember in third grade we had a cool poster on the “evolution of the horse.” It started with a kind of weird tiny, little animal and, after five or six iterations, Voila! the modern horse. I was fascinated by it. Imagine my shock when, years later, I discovered that there never was such a thing as that tiny animal that was supposed to be precursor to the modern horse. Without an overt disclaimer and playing at being objective science, the poster was an imagination of what the horse’s ancestors might have looked like if evolution were true. If they were just going to make it up out of whole cloth, you would think they would have thrown a hippogriff in there somewhere.

You probably have never heard this, or any of hundreds of other such sciency myths modern scientists promulgate to protect their ideal of materialistic, human supremacy. Many scientists have said that some Christians deny evolution because they fear it would disprove God. The truth is that scientists suppressed knowledge of the objective fallacies of both Darwinian and neo-Darwinian evolutionary theory because they fear it would force them to concede the possibility – even the likelihood – of God.

Even if you think you are immune to such things, you have been affected. A lot of dumb people think they can play smart on the cheap by spouting pseudoscientific myths they don’t understand but the culture has embraced. For many folks it is intimidating.

I am a little puzzled by people who are deeply focused on miracles, signs and wonders. It seems to me that if you know God, it is a matter of course that He would do these things, as awesome as they are when seen. Over time, I have come to think such a focus may be a totem against the disbelief lurking in many people’s silent hearts because of the denuded culture we have long occupied.

The materialist virus has even infected many religious authorities and thinkers. One need only to start with the execrable “Jesus Project” of two decades ago. It pretended to be a scholarly study of whether Jesus ever existed historically and, if so, what He actually said.

The first part is pure sophistry. It is well established, by ancient Roman and Jewish historians as well as Christians, that Jesus was a genuine flesh-and-blood historical person, whether or not He was actually God. The second goal was to separate His reputed sayings from His actual sayings. They started by dismissing anything that was miraculous or made claim to Divinity. Sheesh! If you decide you will not notice any stampeding cattle, you can pretend they are not there as they storm towards you, but that will not prevent you from being trampled.

The point is, the deeply errant philosophy of materialism has infected our whole culture for over two centuries. The truth is that a little scientific knowledge and a little theology will shake your belief. A LOT of both will cement it. It just takes too great a leap of faith to overlook the growing canyon of things science cannot explain except with sophist and circular arguments.

This is important because we face some serious existential problems on the immediate horizon. You need to be able to walk with confidence. I know a lot of theology – and a lot more science than I let on (playing dumb on a field that is not your public specialty is of enormous value in separating out the frauds from the serious people in that field – and you can do it without ever letting them know unless you need to). God is…and the actual scientific method is a wonderful means of exploring His handiwork. But when you cannot clearly see the path ahead of you and the distraction of the howling wind and waves threatens to cause you to sink, remember…God IS.

If you are shaken, behave as if you know God exists and loves you. Do it long enough and it will become real. And then, every hurdle you overcome will help give you confidence in that reality. God IS – and serious, deep investigation bolsters it.

As for me, I was a lot more outraged and disillusioned by the phony horse poster than I was by the realization that Santa Claus is actually an ancient Russian Bishop.

If communication goes out for any length of time, meet outside your local Church at 9 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Tell friends at Church now, in case you can’t then. CORAC teams will be out looking for people to gather in and work with.

Waking Up Our Friends

Many of our friends are still convincing themselves that we are running “business as usual” right now, and that a benevolent government is going to make sure everything turns out fine. You have to be pretty stubborn to believe that after 2020, but it’s a psychological defense for many people, especially for non-Christians. This article was intended to gently wake people up to the strategy of “basic prep.” Share as appropriate.

Incoming Vaxxx

Now that the WHO has unveiled their plan for the next global injection effort, we need to be on our toes. mRNA “vaccines” have still not been shown to be safe. In fact, many doctors believe the death toll is in the millions of people around the world, and disabilities even higher. As you remember from the vaxxx scam of 2021, the human trials were dicey (paralysis being reported as a stomachache) and the animal trials completely failed (the animals died.) Steer clear of worldwide efforts to get the entire world jabbed with an unknown gene-altering potion.

In Australia, the government has handed over its sovereign authority to the UN and the WHO. (This has been tried twice in the US that I know of, and has been defeated so far.) The WHO and UN are now free to force vaccinate Australian citizens on Australian soil without individual consent. This provision was just passed on August 1, 2024. I’m guessing a lot of Aussies don’t even know about it… yet.

Australia was the test ground for some of the most oppressive policies of the plandemic era. If it works down under, it gets shipped out to other countries. I expect Germany and the UK will be next on the WHO agenda.

We must be vigilant in guarding our freedom.

The last go-round, monkeypox was only a risk for actively homosexual males. There’s a new strain going around, thanks to gain-of-function research, and the particulars are not yet clear. Just be sure you have Ivermectin, the best supplements, homeopathic remedies for viruses, your old covid kit.

What is in these shots that the globalists will keep masterminding situations wherein we take finally them??

Sugar Survival Strategy

Every health professional agrees on at least one thing: refined sugar is not healthy! And it has implications for any family that believes the government is not looking out for our best interests. For example, if another virus is ushered in, and another untested mRNA shot is foisted on the public, plans to fortify our immune system without drugs become monumentally important. Sugar undermines immunity.

Benefits of eliminating sugar from the diet:

  • Increase natural immunity
  • Lose extra weight
  • Decrease risk of diabetes
  • More energy
  • Decrease risk of cognitive decline

Eucharistic Flotilla

Last week, a crew of wildly imaginative Cajuns undertook to bless the Mighty Mississippi River. With a 14-foot monstrance sailing at the head of a multivessel flotilla, with bells and chanting and adoration and prayer, the Eucharist embarked on a river cruise from Baton Rouge to New Orleans, with thousands of Catholic priests and faithful accompanying. At each stop along the way, the Blessed Sacrament was fêted with Mass, prayers and adoration.

Eucharistic Revival is taking many wonderful forms. What else can we do to take the Eucharist to places it will be revered and considered by those who might not otherwise encounter Jesus? This the time to boldly proclaim Jesus’s real presence among us in every way conceivable.

Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit

Before Blessed Carlo Acutis died, at the age of 15, he had been researching the Church-approved Eucharistic miracles from around the world. He catalogued and photographed them for his website. After his death, the CDF formatted the website for publication, and the result is the Internation Exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles. There are multiple copies of the exhibit around the world, which are available for loan to parishes and dioceses willing to host it.

The Exhibit fosters faith in the Eucharist through the many miracles that were studied, photographed and compiled by Blessed Carlo. Interest in Carlo is high, with his canonization receiving final approval and now awaiting a date for the canonization Mass, probably in 2025.

This is an excellent way to foster Eucharistic revival in your parish. The exhibit is free of charge; you provide the volunteers and marketing. To find a copy of the exhibit near you, email info@carloacutis.com.

Carlo’s website is still maintained and a source of much information.

Martyrs Corner: Nigeria

There are deadly persecutions of Christians all around the world right now, but there are more in Nigeria than anywhere else. Priests, seminarians, religious, converts from Islam, and whole congregations have been kidnapped or executed, It is an unthinkable disgrace that the world media has almost entirely ignored this situation, focusing on matters closer to the Deep State heart (if they can be said to have one.)

Over 52,000 Christians have been put to death in Nigeria since the uprising of the Boko Haram Islamist insurgency in 2009. In the same period, 18,000 churches and 2,200 Christian schools have been torched and destroyed. Five million Christians have been rounded up and forced into camps.

As one example, Father Gabriel Ukeh was kidnapped by armed men who broke into the rectory of St. Thomas Church in the middle of the night on June 9 this year. His archdiocese is working for his release, but nothing is yet known.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Priests and Religious, may Jesus the Crucified hearken to our prayers and hasten the unconditional release of this priest and every other abducted person.

PRAYER

August Prayer Intentions

  • That we pray and live anew the exhortation of Saint John Paul II the Great in his first papal homily: “Brothers and sisters, do not be afraid to welcome Christ and accept his power. . . . Do not be afraid. Open wide the doors for Christ. To his saving power open the boundaries of States, economic and political systems, the vast fields of culture, civilization and development. Do not be afraid. Christ knows ‘what is in man.’ He alone knows it.”

  • That all CORAC members heed Charlie’s call in a recent ASOH post: “I call on those who frequent this site to be leaders among their circles,” and that we lead with prudence through careful discernment of The Next Right Step.

  • For all CORAC members as we study, disseminate, and implement the principles and ideas presented in Revival: A Handbook and Manual for Building Functional Communities (due in August).

  • That many people be healed in body, mind, and spirit through the online Physical Healing Prayer Session via Zoom, on the last Wednesday of each month; and through many other healing prayer ministries in which CORAC members are engaged.

  • For the peaceful repose of the souls of all whom the Lord will call home this day; and for the consolation and strength of their families and friends.

  • That CORAC members may strongly desire and find the means to participate in financial support for our vital ministries.

  • For all intentions carried in the hearts of CORAC members and those posted on the CORAC Prayer Hotline, with gratitude for prayers answered in our daily lives.

St. Gabriel, enlighten us.
St. Michael, defend us.

St. Raphael, protect us.
