Treating Cold & Flu

Ordinary Wisdom

[Andrea] Has anyone had the thing with the headache, sore throat, head/chest congestion, vomiting (only children), cough, achiness—that lasts for 3 or more weeks? What homeopathic things should work?

[Mick] We had it at our house. The remedies that helped were Pneumococcinum (one of the remedies that Anne recommends… we took one dose), Streptococcinum (another one of Anne’s remedies… again, just one dose). The remedies that we took after those two were Sanguinaria (for the headache and sinus congestion), Merc sol (for the sore throat), Arsenicum (for the nausea), and Eupatorium perf and/or Gelsemium (for the achiness).

Prophylaxis for that thing you were talking about if you are exposed is Eupatorium 200C. Put 3-5 pilluels in a twelve ounces of purified water. Let the remedy dissolve, rap the bottle on the heel of your hand 5 times and take a 1 tsp dose twice a day. All family members can use this water dose too. If that thing is circulating in your area use this remedy in this way to prevent getting the illness. I have prescribed this for many people, not just clients and to the best of my knowledge it hasn’t failed. Alice Poh P-HOM
