  5. Making Warp Speed Great Again

Ft. Mill, border of North and South Carolina – I am sorry I haven’t been posting much. I have had a nagging bug for a month now. I have to shepherd my strength for public appearances and meetings. Fortunately, I have Ivermectin which prevents the most ravaging symptoms, but it does not prevent the debilitating fatigue. The longest a virus ever kept me down was six weeks, so I should shake it completely off real soon. One thing I have discovered doing just a little before having to rest up again is, normally, I get a lot done. When I don’t it backs up quickly like a clogged drain pipe. But there it is.

Oddly enough, after the most vigorous, accomplished first week in presidential history, I find I am taken with a feeling of deep anger mixed in with my great joy. My anger is because, over the last four years we have had at least 2,000 – and probably many thousands more than that – purely political prisoners in this country. Remember when the left, which via its media scribes and politicians is warning us of retribution, seriously proposed that people who refused to get Covid shots be put in detention (concentration) camps and be denied all health insurance?

We have somehow nurtured a genuinely anti-human, anti-freedom, large authoritarian cohort in this country. Annoyingly, they constantly pretend to virtue while accusing us of doing what they are actually doing. I know that leftism invariably leads to authoritarian, inhumane dictates. It can scarcely do otherwise. While those on the right and in the genuine center are focused on being left alone to live their own lives, leftists are obsessed with forcing other people to live the way they want them to. You can’t accomplish this without police state dictates.

From the beginning, the lawn of our republic has been infested with patches of these authoritarian, leftist weeds. But our lawn has become overwhelmed with them – to the point they almost decimated the lawn entirely last time.

Donald Trump has started well as our national lawnmower. But we must all act together as weed whackers. They must be given no quarter in honest society anymore. Their faux “compassion” must fall on deaf ears. I am delighted Trump has started firing lawyers in the DOJ who eagerly participated in ugly lawfare against him and ordinary Americans. But it must go further. I want the judges who eagerly played partisan hack to further the lawfare schemes sent running for cover, losing their jobs and hopefully, maybe, being imprisoned themselves. Think that’s vengeful? Read the book of Esther, in which the vicious official, Haman, tried to get the king to exterminate all the Jews in the kingdom. The plan was moving along until Queen Esther, a clandestine Jew, revealed that reality to the king along with the reality of the vain perfidy of Haman. Haman was hanged. That is not vengeance; it was justice.

We seek to harm no innocents, to mount no false charges in order to harm our opponents, to manufacture no crimes to charge them with. But those who do and have eagerly done so must be punished and banished from all positions of public honor and polite society. They make themselves pernicious weeds which threaten to destroy the beauty and safety of the garden of our republic. And all those RINO Republicans who say, “Let the weeds grow in peace” need to be exiled as well…for the only goal of the weeds is to destroy our liberty and profane our faith. I will forgive them when they are utterly banned from any form of polite society and held in complete contempt and disgrace.

All my life, the only time it was socially cool to be conservative – or a Republican – was during the Reagan administration. And that was a close thing. Suddenly, the coolest, most trending thing is to be a conservative Republican. In fact, it is downright brat (modern slang for cool), a status Kamala Harris overtly tried for and completely failed at. I read a poll showing that 69% of black folks approve of Trump’s first week in office. Man, we are looking at a complete sea change!

I have to give a shout-out to the gutter press, hysterical Democrat officials, federal workers, and illegal aliens protesting with the flags of their home countries they do not want to go back to. Everybody in the country saw what a lying, predatory, America-hating mongrel horde they are…and they just keep doubling down on the tactics that exposed their malevolence.

The feds raided a club in Adams County, Colorado and arrested almost 50 members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang that took over some apartment buildings in Aurora, near Denver International Airport. A few months ago, ABC’s Martha Raddatz smugly informed Vice President J.D. Vance that no such thing had happened – and if it did it was not much of anything. She hasn’t bothered to correct herself since. Then, a day later, the head of the gang that Martha says doesn’t exist was arrested in New York. All are being deported.

In his first network interview since taking office, Vance sat with Margaret Brennan of CBS News’ Face the Nation. Brennan thought she was going to torpedo Vance with “gotcha” questions. She came off like a mouthy, ill-prepared, schoolgirl with a bad attitude. CNN’s Jake Tapper has dialed his supercilious pomposity up to eleventy. When a busload of Venezuelan gang members is headed for deportation, the networks do their dead, level best to find a Hispanic-looking woman who is crying. Do they really not know that people are on to their game – and COMPLETELY done with it?

In confirmation hearings, Democratic Senators ask little to no policy questions. They just viciously and personally attack Trump’s nominees. Then when the nominees calmly respond, they interrupt them to attack them some more. Do they really not know that they come off like the witches of Eastwick or the orcs of Sauron?

Federal bureaucrats try to change the name of DEI offices to avoid orders shutting it down – then squeal like piglets when caught and shut down anyway. Some federal employees sued Trump because he sent a mass email offering buyouts. Sheesh…”Don’t email me, bro!” Are they trying to generate sympathy or just to harden our resolve?

As a lifelong professional strategist, I am flabbergasted that the woke left has chosen to do the very things that have left them discredited among regular folks – only doing it harder. Their strategy is like the Pacific Palisades fire – designed to burn everything they have down to ash.

If they insist on making our point for us, I’ll take it. But it is downright eerie to see them doing this and thinking they are making a solid counter-argument. At this rate, the establishment press will be completely bankrupt by the end of the year and the Democratic Party will go the way of the Whigs in the midterm elections – and they’ll go screaming and making utter fools of themselves the whole way. Good riddance!

Holy cow! In his first week Trump unleashed a veritable blizzard of pro-life orders. It goes far beyond pardoning pro-lifers who were jailed for praying near abortion clinics and ordering the Justice Dept. to quit weaponizing the FACE Act to target pro-lifers. Shoot, withdrawing from the World Health Organization (WHO) and forcing them to pay their own way as they try to oppress us was a bigger pro-life act than some realize.

Of course, I was intensely gratified when the California Atty. Gen.’s office finally dropped its criminal case against David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress. This abortion of a case was instigated by Kamala Harris when she was the AG of California. She famously sent 11 armed agents in an early morning raid of Daleiden’s apartment – when she was supposed to be investigating Planned Parenthood. Her malicious prosecution was vigorously pursued by her successor, Xavier Becerra, until he was tapped by Joe Biden to head up the Dept. of Health and Human Services.

I was going to cut current California AG Rob Bonta some slack, as I have been saying for some time that his office has been almost desperately trying to find an off-ramp from this hideous case. But a day after saying, in open court, that this was a staged dismissal of the case, Bonta falsely posted on X that he had convicted Daleiden. Yeah, I know losers have to try to save face somehow, but outright lies just are not the way to do so. Frankly, I think that after all the terms are finished, Daleiden ought to sue Harris, Becerra and Bonta for malicious prosecution. The way the left is angering the public with their serial shameless lies, they might be in big trouble from a public inflamed to anger by their open malevolence.

I pray that, by the time this year ends, it will be as shameful to support Planned Parenthood as it is to find a slave trader in your family tree.

Mary Grace Godfrey of South Bend, Indiana, designed the jackets for the three Vance children when he was inaugurated as Vice-President of the United States. Her father, Chris Godfrey, former guard for the Super Bowl XXI Champion New York Giants is one of our CORAC leaders and the founder of Life Athletes. Mary Grace is a charming, gracious woman – and the Godfreys are a wonderfully loving and mutually supportive family.

It just tickles me to see CORAC leaders and members in the news, making life better for all by their commitment to the principles of faith, family, and freedom.

Thank all of you for your continued financial support of the work we are doing at CORAC, knitting the frayed social fabric back together. We could not do it without you.

I will try to post more frequently. I rarely get sick on the road and I am trying to balance rest and work in a way that does not prolong the presence of this stupid bug. I’ll go with shorter pieces if I need to. You’ll know I’m fully back up to snuff when you see a long, meaty piece. Funny how, when you are fine, everything comes easy and is airy. When you are not, you just have to contemplate the Carrying of the Cross and keep at it as best you can.

If communication goes out for any length of time, meet outside your local Church at 9 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Tell friends at Church now in case you can’t then. CORAC teams will be out looking for people to gather in and work with.
