  5. Happy Thanksgiving!

Helena, Alabama – I pretty much say all I have to say in this Thanksgiving video for CORAC. Thank you all for the fabulous work you have done these last four years to keep the home fires of faith, family, and freedom burning.

In 2008, at the Easter Vigil at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Galesburg, Illinois I believe the Lord came to me in complete darkness just before Mass began and told me, “Now the hour of darkness comes upon the world. But be not afraid. The darkness will not prevail.”

In the last 16 years I have thought, “Man, this has been one LONG hour, Lord.” So many of you have been light to me through this terrible hour. And now, the first strong beam of light has pierced the darkness that enshrouds the world. Know that it is the beginning, not the end of the matter. Give glory and thanks to God as you prepare to carry His light to all ends of this nation and then to all ends of the earth. The Lord is mustering us up for His great renewal of the face and faith of the earth.

But for now – and through the Christmas Season all the way up to Epiphany, enjoy your family and friends. Tomorrow we enter the New Advent. As once, a groaning, weary world looked forward, unknowing, to the Child in the manger, we now look back to that Child in the manger. May we light the way for the whole world to find their way back to that Child, who is the sole source of peace, prosperity and joy in this life and the next.

The people in darkness have seen a great light. Dawn has arisen for those who lived in the land of the shadow of death. (My take from Isaiah 9:2)

Let there be cheering and feasting and glad hallelujahs, for the glory of the Lord is coming to dwell among us and carry us to our great revival in Him!
