[Stuart] The one caveat with Signal Note to Self is that if you have to reinstall Signal on your device or reset your Signal account, everything in Note to Self on the affected device is unrecoverable. (This is just like when you add a new device to your Signal account, or reinstall Signal, or reset your Signal account, messages from before the install/reinstall/reset do not appear in your new install because Signal does not “look back in time” for previous messages – you only see messages sent from that point forward. Same thing with Note to Self.) So please be sure to back up your Note to Self some other way if you want to de-risk losing it.
