  5. Simple Quotes to Ponder on the Road...

In these times of trial and rapid change, here’s some simple quotes to ponder.  We’re spotlighting the word “renewal” from our name – Corps of Renewal and Charity.  Got a favorite quote in this vein?  Feel free to share it in the comments section.

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Charlie Johnston

Too often when we say we trust the Lord, we mean we trust Him to do what is easiest for us or to give us our way. Why not trust Him to know what is best for us, for those around us, for gaining souls to Him, and for deploying us most efficiently? I just think, “You lead, Lord, and give me the grace to follow – even into the most unexpected places.” It is such a secure way to live.

St. Francis de Sales

Have patience with all things – but first with yourself. Never confuse your mistakes with your value as a human being. You are a perfectly valuable, creative, worthwhile person simply because you exist. And no amount of triumphs and tribulations can ever change that.

G. K. Chesterton

If you are renewed by grace, and were to meet your old self, I am sure you would be very anxious to get out of his company.

St. Maximilian Kolbe

God sends us friends to be our firm support in the whirlpool of struggle. In the company of friends we will find the strength to attain our sublime ideal.

Pope St. John Paull II

The saints have always been the source and origin of renewal in the most difficult moments in the Church’s history.

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

About

Leadership is not a position at CORAC, it’s a mindset fueled by the heart. In these challenging times of rapid change and uncertainty, we thrive by empowering our members –– from all walks and stages of life –– to humbly take an active role in our mission.  Now is the time to take responsibilty for the gifts God entrusted you with, use them for the benefit of others, and trust that God will multiply your effort to help reap an abundant harvest. In short, acknowledge God, take the next right step, and be a sign of hope to those around you.
